56 other citizens of Baltimore city and county, praying the
passage of a bill to build a bridge ovrr Gwynn's Falls, on
the Washington road, and also making the said road a
county or public road ;

Which was read and referred to Baltimore county and 3d
District Baltimore city delegations.

Mr. Aydelott presented the petition from 91 citizens of
Worcester county, in favor of appropriating a certain sum of
money to construct the Worcester and Somerset Railroad.

Also, a petition from one hundred and forty-three citizens
against the same;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Clarke presented a petition from Lieutenant Wilson,
for compensation for services rendered the State;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Also, petition from 122 citizens of Frederick county, ask-
ing the repeal of the present Sunday law;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Militia;

Mr. Hammond presented a memorial of the Managers of
the House of Refuge, praying that the appropriation hereto-
fore made in aid of the institution be continued and that a
special appropriation be made to aid in the erection of an ad-
ditional wing to the building, and ask that a special commit-
tee may be appointed to visit the institution;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

The Speaker placed before the House, the annual report of
the Managers of the House of Refuge;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Dawson presented a petition from Daniel Sparklin and
other citizens of Caroline county, praying that John Rum-
bold, a minor of said county, may be allowed to take posses-
of property inherited ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Lankford presented a memorial from the Union Orphan
Asylum, of Baltimore city, asking an appropriation ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
