the line of the Washington county Rail Road, during the
time of its construction.

A bill entitled an Act to enable the trustees of Middletown
Academy, to transfer, by deed, the said building and grounds
to the board of School Commissioners of Frederick county.

A bill entitled an Act to alter and change the name of
George Ferdinand Taylor, to that of George Washington
Taylor.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and em power the c oun-

ty Commissioners of Washington county, in their discretion,

to assume such part of the debt of the Mayor and Councilmen

. of the town of Hagerstown, known as the McCausland debt,

as they may deem just and equitable.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Newtown,
in Worcester county, so as to strike out section 8th of said
Act, and insert another section in lieu thereof

Were severally read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Boswell,
The House adjourned until to-morrow morning at 11 o'clock.

TUESDAY, January 22nd, 1867.

The House met and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
