Members of said House.

On motion of Mr. Knott,

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that Mr.
Lankford of Baltimore city, was absent from his seat on Sat-
urday last, on account of illness in his family.

Mr. Neilson submitted the following:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 21st, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
that the Committees on Immigration of the Senate and House
ot Delegates, act conjointly upon the suggestions made in the
Message of His Excellency, the Governor, relating to amend-
ment of the Immigration Laws.

Chief Clerk.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the Senate.
On motion of Mr. Stevens,

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Mr.
Davis, of Baltimore city, was absent from his seat on Friday
and Saturday, on account of illness.

On motion of Mr. Aydelott,

Leave was granted Worcester County delegation to report
a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate and protect the Pocomoke
Marine Railway Company.

On motion of Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary, to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to repeal chapter 131, passed
March 18th, 1865, entitled, "an Act to repeal section 9 of
Article 38, of the Code of Public General Laws relating to
fees of officers," and to re-enact a substitute therefor.

On motion of Mr. Appleman,

Leave was granted Washington County delegation to intro-
duce a bill to revive and continue in force the Act of 1864,
chapter 60, entitled, an Act to incorporate a society in Wash-
ington county to be styled the Agricultural and Mechanical
Association of Washington county.

On motion of Mr. Aydelott,

He was excused from serving on the Committee on Engros-
sed Bills.
