Ford, Shipley, Nicolai, Thomas, Jump, Jones, Phelpa, Kerr,
Lindsey, Magruder, Gal vert, Rouzer, Buhrman, Linthicum,
Bamford, Appleruan, Hoffhine, Bishop, Turner, Coleman,
Neilson, Smith, Flaherty, Robson, Hooper, Knott, Lankford,
Stevens, Kraft, Boswell, Thomson, Davis of Baltimore city,
Waltemeyer, Feig, Bixler, Pitts, Aydelott, Gordy, Nelson,
Whiteford, Wilson, Spicer, Gilpin, Bruce, Carmichael., Neale,
Poole, Dawson, King, Hammond—55.

The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.

Mr. Neilson presented a petition of Ford and Wilson, and
others, Billiard Table Pproprietors, asking a reduction in
license on billiard tables.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Nicolai presented the petition from fifty-seven citizens
of Baltimore county, against the extension of the Hog law in
said county;

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county Del-
egation.

Mr. Thomas presented the petition for claims for fees, due
by the State to Messrs. Thomas S. Alexander, Thomas Don-
aldson, Ezekiel F. Chambers and James D. Martin, for legal
services in the mandamus case of the State vs. the President
and Directors, of the Maryland and Deleware Railroad Com-
pany;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Ordered, That the Select Committee of five appointed to
report a bill to amend the Act of Assembly, relating to Im-
migration , be increased to seven members, and created a Stand-
ing Committee of the House, to be designated the Committee
on Immigration.

On motion of Mr. Hammond,

Ordered, That at the end of the Session, this House will
make such donations to the Chaplains, as it may think rea-
sonable. .

Mr. Stevens offered the following:

Ordered, That the Keeper of the Public Grounds, remove the
gates at the several entrances to the State House, and that
he replace them when this House finally adjourns;

Which was not adopted.

On motion of Mr. Rouzer,

Ordered, That the Hall of the House of Delegates be opened
every Sunday morning during the Session, at 8 o'clock, A.
