On motion of Mr. Davis, of Charles,
Leave was granted the Committee on Insolvencies to intro-
duce a bill to constitute doctor's medical bills preferred claims
against the estates of deceased insolvent debtors.
On motion of Mr. Kerr,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary, to re-
port a bill to amend section 3, of chapter 67, of the Laws of
Maryland, passed at the session of the General Assemby of
1865 relating to constables' fees, and to re-enact the same.
On motion of Mr. Bishop,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill enabling the "Vestry" of the German Reformed
Church in the town of Clearspring, Washington county, to
hold certain real estate conveyed to them by deed, from Sarah
Trousse, dated June 24th, 1862, said "Vestry" not being at
that time an "incorporated body."
On motion of Mr. Kerr,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to amend section 3 of chapter 79, of the Laws of
Maryland, passed at the session of the General Assembly,
1865 relating to fees of Justices of the Peace, and to re-en-
act the same.
On motion of Mr. Dawson,
Leave was granted the Caroline and Queen Anne's delega-
tion to introduce a bill authorizing the Governor to appoint
an additional Justice of the Peace in the second election Dis-
trict of Caroline county.
On motion of Mr. Carmichael,
Leave was granted the Committee on Claims to report a
bill to compensate James B. Steele, for the publication of reg-
istration notices and of lists of the registered voters, and for
printing lists of the same for the use of the registers in Car-
oline county.
Also a bill to compensate Lloyd Tilghman of Queen Anne's
county, for professional services rendered the State.
On motion of Mr. Clarke,
Leave was granted the Batimore county delegation to re-
port a bill entitled a further supplement to an act to incor-
porate the Hillen Road Company of Baltimore county, passed
at January session eighteen Hundred and fifty-four.
On motion of Mr. Morgan,
Leave was granted Messrs. Morgan, King, Steiner, Stevens
and Gore, to report a bill extending the provisions of the acts
passed February 6th, 1864, chapter 15, and March 4th, 1864,
chapter 373.
