January session, 1864, relating to the competency of wit-
nesses.

On motion of Mr. Kraft,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to int-
roduce a bill to repeal sections five, six and eight, of chapter
twenty-lour, passed at the December session, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-five, relating to a bridge across a branch of
the Patapsco river, and to re-enact said sections with amend-
ments.

On motion of Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary, to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to amend article sixteen of the
Code of Public General Laws, in relation to Divorces, by re-
pealing section 25, and re-enacting the same with amend-
ments, and by adding a sub-section thereto, to be inserted in
said Code after section twenty-five.

On motion of Mr. Boswell,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate the Susquehanna Lumber Com-
pany.

On motion of Mr. Calvert,

Leave was granted the Prince George's and Charles county
Delegations, to introduce a bill to change the name of George
Ferdinand Taylor to Geo. Washington Taylor.

On motion of Mr. Whitaker,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations, to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Principle Furnace Company of
Cecil county.

On motion of Mr. McCullough,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations, to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Frostburg Hotel Company.

On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an Act to increase the annual pay of
the Judges of the Court of Appeals, and Judges of the courts
of Baltimore city,

On motion of Mr. Aydelott,

Leave was granted the Committee on Claims, to report a
bill to refund to Elijah S. Maddox, a sum of money errone-
ously paid into the Treasury of this State.

On motion of Mr. Magruder,

Leave was granted the Committee on Claims, to introduce
a bill for the releif of L. Magruder, for taxes erroneously
paid the State.
