ized to furnish the remaining officers of this House with the
same articles of stationery that he has furnished the officers
of the Senate and the clerks of this House.

On motion of Mr. Gorsuch,

Ordered, That the Comptroller report to this House, soon
as practicable, the expenses of the Convention held in 1864,
including the compensation of members, officers, printing,
all expenses attending its ratification by the people, the pro-
clamation of its adoption by the Governor, and all incidental
expenses thereto, paid by the State.

The Secretary of the Senate, delivered the following mes-
sage:

BY THE SENATE,

January 17th, 1867.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message, inviting the Senate to
meet your Honorable Body at 12 M. to-day, for the purpose of
entering into the election of a United States Senator, and
respectfully concur therein.

Secretary.
Which was read.

On motion of Mr. Nicolai

Leave was granted Committee on Corporations to report a
bill to incorporate the Towsontown Savings Institution of
Baltimore county.

Also, leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to make valid the official acts of George W. Ritter,
late Justice of the Peace for Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Rouzer,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to report
a bill to incorporate the Big Hunting Creek Mining and
iron Manufacturing Company of Frederick county.

On motion of Mr. Wilson,

Leave was granted the Committee on Claims, to introduce
a bill to indemnify J. Carrol Walsh, for taxes erroneously
the State.

On motion of Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary, to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section five, and sub-
section two, of chapter one hundered and nine, passed at the
