charges of inspection on investigation of the tobacco fund
and the leasing of the warehouses ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.

The Speaker laid before the House the report of the Balti-
more and Harford Turnpike Company.

Also, the report of the Baltimore and Havre De Grace
Turnpike Company ;

Which were read and referred to the Committee on Roads
and Highways.

Mr. Pitts presented a petition from George S. Richardson,
John R. Franklin and 283 other citizens of Worcester
county, remonstrating against the application of any part of
the appreciation made by the State to Worcester county, to
any works of internal improvement in Somerset county, and
asking that the balance of said appropiation be applied to
the Worcester County Railroad Company ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Burche presented the report of the Board of Trustees of
the Brookville Academy;

Which was read and referred to Committee on Education.
On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Ordered. That the respective Clerks of the several Circuit
Courts of the counties of this State, and of the Superior,
Circuit, Common Pleas and Criminal Courts of Baltimore
city, report to this House on or before the first day of Febru-
ary next, the number of days of each term of said Courts re-
spectively, between the first day of January and the thirty-
first day of December, 1866, inclusive, the respective Judges
of said Courts have held sessions thereof or transacted busi-
ness therein; and that the Chief Clerk of this House trans-
mit forthwith, by mail, a certified copy of this order to each
of said Clerks respectively.

On motion of Mr. McCulloh,

Ordered, That the Speaker be authorized to give to Gen.
Duff Green the use of the Hall of the House, that he may,
this evening, at 5 o'clock, finish his explanation of the bill
to incorporate the "American Industrial Agency," to such
members of the Senate and House of Delegates as may desire
to hear him do so.

On motion of Mr. Morgan,

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that if Mr.
Morgan had been in his seat when the vote was taken on the
amendment offered by Mr. Carmichael to the first section of
