So the order was laid on the table.
On motion of Mr. Hutchins,

Ordered, That the President and Managers of the Balti-
more and Yorktown Turnpike Company, report to this House
on or before the 25th day of January, 1867, by what statute
or section of law, the said company have for collecting the
present rate of toll, and erecting their toll gates in such
close proximity, as they now are; and also, if any officer or
employee, have demanded or receive toll from any person or
persons who reside between either of their gates, and do not
pass the same with their vehicles or horses.

On motion of Mr. Magruder,

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal, that if C.C.
Magruder, Jr., had been present on Saturday, when the vote
was taken to repeal the 74th Section of the 35th Article of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the election of
United States Senator, he would have voted in the affima-
tive.

On motion of Mr. Knott,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations, to in-
broduce a bill to incorporate the Baltimore Ice Company,

Also, leave was granted the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to incorporate The Monumental Hotel Com-

pany
