Carriages, Hacks, Wagons, &c., in Washington county with-
out a license;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Thomas from a Select Committee, to which was refer-
red the bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to ap-
point an additional Justice of the Peace for the 3d Election
District in Talbot county, reported said bill with the follow-
ing amendments :

Insert after the words "for the," in the 3d line of the 1st
section, the words and letters "2d and—"

After the figure and letters "3d," in the 3d line of the 1st'
section, strike out "district" and insert "districts respec-'
tively."

The whole will then read "for the second and third dis-
tricts respectively."

Amend title by inserting before the figure and letters "3d,"
the figure and words "2d and," and after the word "elec-
tion," strike out "district" and insert "districts respec-
tively," so as to read "second and third election Districts
respectively."

The amendments were concurred in and the bill as
amended was then read third time and passed by yeas and
nays as follow:
