On motion of Mr. Kerr,

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal, that Fran-
cis P. Phelps, of Dorchester county, is absent from this House
on account, of sickness.

Mr. Neilson, submitted the following:

Ordered, That 1,000 copies of the Comptrollers Report be
printed in the German Language, the translation to be made
dy Frederick Raine of Baltimore;

Mr. Boswell, moved to amend by inserting "two thous-
and ;

Which was adopted.

The order as amended was then adopted.

Mr. Whiteford presented the following order:

Ordered, That this House appoint a clerk to mark on all
documents or any writings for committees, folded for the use
of the Members of this House, nameing what they are, and
that Albert B. Magraw, of Harford county, be appointed to
that position ;

Mr. King, moved to amend by striking out the name of
Albert B. Magraw, and inserting the name of John H. Hall,
of Howard county;

Mr. Stevens, moved to amend by striking out John H. Hall,
and insert John H. Cook, of Baltimore city;

On motion of Mr. Lankford,
The whole matter was laid on the table.
On motion of Mr. Stevens,

Ordered, That the bill reported by the Baltimore city dele-
gation, relating to the running of the Baltimore city Passen-
ger Railway Cars on Sunday, be printed.

Mr. Knott, submitted the following:

Ordered, That John Spencer be and he is hereby appoint-
ed Clerk to. the Committee on Elections ;

Mr. King moved to amend by striking out John Spencer,
and insert John H. Hall;

Mr. Gorsuch moved to amend by inserting the name of
Brown Henderson, of Frederick county.

Decided in the negative.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment submitted by Mr. King;

It was decided in the negative.

The question recurring upon the original order submitted
by Mr. Knott;

It was decided in the affirmative.
