Mr. Gore moved to adjourn until Monday morning, 12
o'clock ;

Which was derided in the negative;

On motion of Mr. Boswell,
The House adjourned until to-morrow morning, ten o'clock.

SATURDAY, January 12, 1867.

The House, met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. McNamar.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:
Messrs. Miller, (Speaker,) Appleman, Aydelott, Baker,
Bamford, Beck, Benton, Bishop, Boswell, Bruce, Burche,
Calvert, Cameron, Carmichael, Clarke, Coleman, Criswell,
Davis, of Baltimore city, Davis, of Charles, Dennis, Evans,
Feig, Flaherty, Ford, Gilpin, Gordy, Gore, Gorsuch, Hall,
Hammond, Button, Hoffhine, Hooper, Horsey, Hutchins,
Israel, Jones, Jump, Kerr, King, Knott, Kraft, Lankford,
Lindsey, Linthicum. Magraw, McCulley, McCulloh, Morgan,
Neale, Neilson, Nelson, Nicolai, Parsons, Pitts, Robson,
Kouzer, Shipley, Smith, Spicer, Steiner, Stevens, Thomas,
Thomson, Tobey, Turner, Waltemeyer,. Welch, Whiteford,
Whitaker, Williams, Wilson—72.

The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.

The Chair laid before the House a series of forms, prepared
by the Chief Clerk for the preparation, introduction, amend-
ment, and passage of bills.

Mr. Evans moved that five copies for each member and one
hundred copies for the use of the Clerk's office, be immedi-
ately printed.

Which was adopted.

The Chair announced the appointment of Mr. Knott, as
Chairman of the Committee on Elections, in place of Mr.
Hammond, excused.

Mr. Hammond presented a petition from sundry citizens
of Baltimore and Howard counties, praying that a pension
may be granted Alexander Diffy, a soldier in the war of
