Ordered, That the Treasurer furnish to this House a state-
ment showing the amount of revenue paid into the State
Treasury from Baltimore city and from the several counties of
the State for the years 1865 and 1866.

On motion of Mr. Hoffhine,

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that had J.
Hoffhine been present when the resolutions were offered en-
dorsing President Johnson and Governor Swann, he would
have voted in the negative.

On motion of Mr. Davis, of Charles,

Ordered, That the Committee on Education be, and they
are hereby, requested to enquire and report to this House the
amount of salary paid each School Commissioner, the amount
paid for office rent, office furniture, and incidental office ex-
penses in each county per year.

On motion of Mr. Turner,

Leave was granted Committee on Corporations to report a
bill to continue the charter of the Canton Company of Balti-
more.

On motion of Mr. Beck,

Leave was granted Committee on Corporations to report a
bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Slaughter's Steamboat
Company, for Chester river.

On motion of Mr. McCulloh,

Leave was granted Committee on Corporations to report a
bill to incorporate the Maryland Fire, Life and Accident In-
surance Company of Allegany county.

On motion of Mr. Kraft,

Leave was granted Committee on Corporations to report a
bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Monumental Fire In-
surance of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Tobey,

Leave was granted Washington county delegation to report
a bill entitled, an Act for the preservation of growing timber
in Washington county.

On motion of Mr. Aydelott,

Leave was granted Messrs. Jones, Pitta and Gordy to report
a bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Committee of the
Presbyterian Congregation of Pitt's Creek, in Worcester
county, to sell and convey certain real estate in said county,
and invest proceeds of such sale.

On motion of Mr. Carmichael,
Leave was granted Committee on the Judiciary to report a
