Ordered, That when the Senate adjourn to-day, it stand
adjourned until Monday next.

On motion by Mr. Kimmel,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce an Act entitled, an Act to incorporate the Ameri-
can Iron Ship Building, Mining and Manufacturing Com-
pany.

On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Maddox, Kimmel and Fra-
zier, to introduce a bill entitled, an Act to make valid the
acts and proceedings of the Commissioners of the town of
Rockville, Montgomery county.

Mr. Waters, from the Committee on Militia, reported fa-
vorably a bill entitled, an Act requiring the Adjutant Gener-
al to furnish arms for the use of Charlotte Hall School ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to change the
name of W. H. C. Oldson,

Reported it without amendment.

The bill was then read a second time, and»by special order
third time and passed by yeas and nays as follow:

vorably, a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay the heirs of Jas. G. Alnutt, David Clarke and George
W. Morgan, the balance due them as salary whilst acting as
Tobacco Commissioners;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably, a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money
