other merchants and citizens of Baltimore, remonstrating
against any change in the charter of the Baltimore and Poto-
mac Rail Road Company;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Internal
Improvements.

Mr. Trail presented the petition of 20 citizens of Frederick
county, praying the passage of a bill for the protection of
fish in Catoctin Creek ;

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Trail, Davis of
Washington, and Jump, with leave to report a bill.

Mr. Vickers presented the memorial of Henry C. Mercer
and 17 other citizens of Baltimore, against any legislation on
the Sunday law;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Vickers presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Kent county, against the repeal or modification of the Sun-
day law;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Vickers presented the petition of Rev. C. M. Callancy,
Bishop W. K. Whittingham and 10 other clergymen of the
Protestant Episcopal Church, against the proposed act, to
permit the railroad cars to run on Sunday, in the city of Bal-
timore ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings,

Mr. Vickers presented the petition of 47 tax payers of
Kent county, for a law to levy a tax on said county, to aid
the construction of the Kent county Rail Road ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Vickers presented the petition of Dr. Thomas C. Ken-
nard and 24 other tax payers of Kent county, to aid in con-
structing the Kent county Rail Road ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Vickers presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Kent county, for an Act to incorporate the colored members
of the Methodist Episcopal Church, at Galena, in Kent coun-

ty;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.
