and powers in relation to a speedy and final disposition of the
lesser offences known to the criminal laws of this State.

On motion of Mr. Phelps,

Leave was granted the Dorchester county delegation to
report a bill for the completion of the Dorchester and Dela-
ware Railroad.

On motion of Mr. Knott,

Leave was granted the Committee on Claims to report a
bill to refund to William Gilmor and Robert Gilmor, Jr.,
taxes erroneously paid by them, and to alter the assessment
on certain property in Baltimore city.

On motion of Mr. Lankford,

Leave was granted the Committee on. Corporations to report
a bill to incorporate the Home Fire Insurance Company of
Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to report
a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore United
Hotel Proprietors' Brewing and Malting Company of Bal-
timore.

On motion of Mr. McCulloh,

Leave was granted Messrs. McCulloh, Jones and Buhr-
man to report a bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act of
1866, chapter 93.

Referred to Special Committee of three.
On motion of Mr. Israel,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to repeal the Act of 1864, chapter 129, adding
additional sections to the 44th Article of the Code of Public
General Laws, title Maryland Hospital.

On motion of Mr. Gore,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to incorporate Freedom Lodge No. 112, of Ancient,
Free and Accepted Masons in Carroll county.

On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to repeal sections 8, 12, 13, 14,15, 16, 17, 18 and
19, of an Act entitled, an "Act to incorporate the Maryland
Life Insurance Company of Baltimore," and to re-enact in
lieu thereof sections 8, 12, 13, 14,15, 16, 17 and 18, with
amendments.
