On motion of Mr. McCullob,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to report
a bill to authorize the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of
Cumberland to bridge the Potomac river, and to issue bonds
for that purpose.

On motion of Mr. Phelps,

The leave asked by himself to report a bill to take the
sense of the people in relation to the call of a Convention ;

Was referred to the Joint Select Committee on that subject.
On motion of Mr. Aydelotte,

Leave was granted the Worcester county delegation to
report a bill for the relief of the tax payers of the village
of Newtown and other portions of Worcester county, in con-
sequence of small pox.

On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to report a bill to raise revenue by taxation of oysters.

On motion of Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to report
a bill incorporating the "Burkettsville Female Seminary,"
of Frederick county.

On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Leave was granted the Committee on Inspections to report
a bill for the appointment of Inspector of Oysters.

On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave granted the Committee on the Judiciary to report a
bill for the appointment by the Governor of a Public Admin-
istrator for the city of Baltimore, and prescribing the duties
of the same.

On motion of Mr. Boswell,

Leave was granted the Committee on Claims to report a
bill to appropriate a sum of money to pay William Schley
and John M. Frazier for legal services rendered the State.

On motion of Mr. Williams,

Leave was granted the Committee on Roads and Highways
to report a bill to provide for the repairs of the public roads
in the State.

On motion of Mr. Williams,

Leave was granted the Calvert and Anne Arundel county
delegations to report a bill to authorize the School Commis-
