On motion of Mr. Neilson,
Ordered, That twenty thousand copies of the Governor's
Message, and accompanying Documents, be printed in the
English language, and five thousand copies in the German
language, (the translation to be made by Frederick Raine, of
Baltimore,) for the use of the Members of this House.
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,
Ordered, That the Speaker appoint a Special Committee of
five members, to whom shall be referred the Message of the
Governor, together with the accompanying Documents, for
the purpose of distributing the several matters therein con-
tained, to appropriate committees.
Mr. Phelps submitted the following message:

Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose, with your assent, to Appoint a Joint Commit-
tee of the two Houses, to take into consideration so much of
the Message of His Excellency, the Governor, as relates to an
Executive Mansion, and name on our part, Messrs. Phelps,
