The Secretary of the Senate, delivered the following mes-

ages.

BY THE SENATE,

January 4th, 1867.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
the appointment of a Joint Committee of ten, an equal num-
ber from each House to report a bill, for the enfranchisement
and restoration of certain citizens of this State to full rights
of citizenship, and would respectfully ask your concurrence
therein. We have appointed on the part of the Senate,
Messrs. Earle, Henkle, Waters, Stephenson, and Davis, of
Caroline.

BY THE SENATE,

January 4th, 1867,
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We respectfully inform you that the Senate has appointed
the Rev. Mr. Cassady, as Chaplain. We propose an inter-
change of services, with the gentlemen who may be appointed
by your Honorable Body.

Mr. Spicer submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Librarian be instructed to furnish this
House with the same extra Stationary that the General As-
sembly was furnished with at its last regular session.
