Which was rejected.

On motion of Mr. Phelps,

Ordered, That the Treasurer report to this House the en-
tire annual expenses, including the amount paid to Special
Judges of the Judiciary of this State, in the years 1845, 1855
and 1865, so as to exhibit the comparative expense of the Ju-
diciary under the amended Constitution of 1775, 1861, 1864.

Mr. Davis, of Charles, moved to re-consider the order
adopted yesterday in reference to the payment of per diem to
the Officers of the last House, who were present at the or-
ganization of the present House ;

Decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Davis, of Charles, sumbmitted the following amend-
ment :

Ordered, That the Officers of the late House of Delegates,
who have been present at, and assisted in the organization of
the present House, (excepting those who have been appointed
Officers of this House,) be paid eight days, at the usual rates;

Decided in the negative.

The original order was then re-adopted.

Mr. Knott, from the committee appointed to wait upon the
Governor and inform him of the organization of the House,
reported that the committee had performed that duty, and
the Governor would communicate with the House, in a short
time, through his Private Secretary.

Mr. Boswell submitted the following order;

Ordered, That fifteen extra copies of the Daily Journal be
furnished each member of this House;

Which was rejected.

On motion of Mr. Smith,

Ordered, That his Excellency, the Governor, be requested
to furnish to this House a copy of the returns of the Judges
of the election for the City of Baltimore, held on the sixth
day of November 1866.

On motion of Mr. Parsons,

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal of this House,
that Mr. Jones, of Somerset, is detained from occupying his
seat in this House, by sickness of his family.

On motion of Mr. Tobey,

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Capt.
R. E. Bamford, of Washington county, is detained from nig
seat in this House, in consequence of an accident to himself.

On motion of Mr. Boswell,
Ordered, That ten extra copies of the Daily Journal, be
