Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations (here-
after to be appointed) to report a bill to incorporate the Real
Estate Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore;

Also, leave was granted the same committee to report a
bill to incorporate the Railway and Manufacturing Company
of Havre de Grace.

On motion of Mr. Williams,

Ordered, That 5,000 copies of the address of Oliver Miller,
Esq., to the House of Delegates, be printed for the use of the
House.

On motion of Mr. Hammond,

Ordered, That the Committee on Federal Relations (here-
after to be appointed) inquire and report to this House,
whether any provision of the penal laws of this State is in
conflict with so much of the Federal Constitution as prohibts
slavery in the United States, or any law made in pursuance
thereof.

On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted the Baltimore city delegation to report
a bill to repeal certain Sections of Article 4, of the Public
Local Laws, and also certain Sections of the Supplemental
Code of Art. 4, and to enact a supplement in lieu thereof.

Mr. Carmichael submitted the following message to the
Senate:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 3rd, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
the appointment of a Joint Committee of five members on the
part of the House, and of five members on the part of the
Senate, to prepare and report a bill for the call of a Consti-
tutional Convention.

We have appointed on the part of the House of Delegates,
Messrs. Carmichael, Phelps, Knott, Bixler and Morgan.

W. R. COLE,

Chief Clerk. .
Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

Mr. Gore moved that when the House adjourns, it stand
adjourned until Monday at 12 o'clock.

Mr. Carmichael moved to amend by inserting "to-morrow at
12 o'clock;"

Decided in the affirmative.
