Mr. Stephenson submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the reflections made upon the motives of the
Senator from Dorchester county, in voting for the repeal of
the Eastern Shore restriction law, by the reporter of the Bal-
timore American, and published in said paper of the 25th ult.,
is a violation of the privileges accorded by the Senate to such
reporter, and an act of injustice to that Senator, which calls
for and receives the condemnation of the Senate, and any repe-
tition of such censorious utterances will be considered suffici-
ent grounds for exclusion.
