the city of Baltimore ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Tyson Mining
Company;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act incorporating the Principio Manu-
facturing Company;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Aet to incorporate the Good Intent
Lodge No. 99 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of
Somerset county;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections eight, twelve,
thieteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen and
nineteen of an Act to incorporate the Maryland Life Insur-
ance Company of Baltimore, and to re-enact in lieu thereof
sections 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18, as within recited;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Trustees of the New
Town Academy, in Worcester county, to sell their building
and grounds, and to invest the proceeds of such sale in a build-
ing and grounds for a high school in the town of New
Town;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Education.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize the School Commission-
ers of Frederick county to pay to Jonas Urner and Mary Ann
and Amos H. Norris, Executors of Nicholas Norm, two of
the Trustees of the Primary School District No. 53 in said
county, a sum of money advanced by them for the support of
the school in said district, in the years 1863 and 1864, during
the term of their trusteeship ;

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Trail, Davis of Washington, and Jump.

Mr. Frazier rose to a question of privilege, and called the
attention of the Senate to an article published in the Balti-
more American, reflecting upon his course in relation to the
bill entitled, an Act to repeal the 74th section of the 36th Ar-
ticle of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the elec-
tion of United States Senator,
