quire the School Commissioners of Caroline county, to levy
upon the assessable property of School District No. 3, of said
county a sufficient sum of money to pay the expenses of build-
ing the School House in said school district, and to refund to
certain persons the money advanced by them in the erection of
said School House;

Reported said bill ought not to pass,

The report was then adopted, and the bill rejected.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 87, 88
and 89, of Article 14, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Kent county, title Drovers;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled, an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Kent county, to convey to John Haddaway and
others of said county a portion of a landing in Chester River,
in Quaker Neck.

Which was read the first time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills.

A bill entitled, an Act to enlarge and confirm the powers
and authority of St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys of the
city of Baltimore, incorporated under the General provisions
of the 26th Article of the Code;

Was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act passed by the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, January Session, 1866, entitled,
an Act to incorporate the Maryland Land and Emigration
Company;

Which were read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled, an Act to require drovers passing
through Kent county to have their cattle marked, and au-
thorize the sale of cattle found unmarked that may be found
in droves;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled, an Act for the relief of Thomas Lus-
by, and to appoint Commissioners to assess damages sustain-
ed by him in the opening of the public road through his land ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Spates, from the Select Committee, reported a bill en-
titled, an Act requiring and authorizing the Commissioners
