Which wag read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

On motion of Mr. Stirling,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Stirling, Males and Frazier,
to introduce a bill to regulate auctioneer's fees.

On motion of Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill for the relief of Robert Ford, as
security on the Collectors bond of Jno. B. Flown.

Mr. Mules from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Trustees
of Choptank Mission Methodist Protestant Church;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled an Act authorizing the payment of
the salary of the Hon. Silas Morris Cochran, late Associate
Justice of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, for the quarter
ending December 31, 1866;

Reported it without amendment, and
The bill was read the second time.
On motion of Mr. Mackall,

The rules were suspended and the bill read the third time
by special order, three-fourths concurring, and passed by yeas
and nays as follow:
