sub-title "marrying unlawfully;" sections 141, sub-title
"murder;" sections 146, 147, 148, 149 and 150, sub-title
"negroes;" sections 153 and 154, sub-title "passes to ne-
groes;" section 168, sub-title "religious meetings;" sections
174, 175, 176 and 177, sub-title "Runaways;"

The bill was then read a second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Earle,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill, to make intar-marriage between persona
of the black and white races, a criminal offence, punishable
by imprisonment in the Penitentiary.

Mr. Vickers from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section
thirty-four of Article thirty of the Code of Public General
Laws title "crimes and punishments," sub-title "counterfeit-
ing and forgery," and relating to inspected and un-inspecte,d
tobacco, and to re-enact the same with an amendment;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section
ninety-nine of Article thirty of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "crimes and punishments," sub-title "larceny,"
and to re-enact the same with an amendment ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal an Act
passed at January Session, 1864, chapter 105, entitled, an
Act to repeal sections 42 and 43 of Article 66 of the Code of
Public General Laws, relating to manumission, and to enact
a substitute therefor, providing for the manumission of slaves,
and also, to repeal sections 42 and 43 of Article 67 of the Code
of Public General Laws, title "negroes," and sub-title "free
negroes and manumission ;"

Which was read the first time.

reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section
ninety-two of Article thirty of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "crimes and punishments," sub-title "kidnap-
