tied, an Act to repeal the fourth, seventh, fifteenth, sixteenth
and twentieth sections of the fourth Article of the Code of
Public Local Laws of the city of Baltimore, relative to the
qualifications of electors in said eity, and regulating the time
for holding elections for Mayor and Members of the City
Council, and the terms of, and the times for entering upon
the duties of said offices, and to re-enact the same with amed-
ments;

On the question being put, it was

Mr. Steirling moved a suspension of the rules to enable
Mr. Tome to submit an order ;

Determined in the affirmative.
Mr. Tome, submitted the following:

Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on Rules
report the same to the Senate by Thursday next.

Determined in the affirmative.

Mr. Bowie moved to reconsider the vote by which the Sen-
ate refused to suspend the rules to take up the bill entitled,
"an Act to repeal an Act passed at the January Seassion
of the General Assembly in the year 1867, entitled, an Act
to repeal the fourth, seventh, fifteenth, sixteenth and twen-
tieth sections of the fourth Article of the Public Local Laws
of the city Baltimore, relative to the qualifications of electors
in said city, and regulating the time for holding elections for
Mayor and Members of the City Council, and the terms of,
and the times for entering upon the duties of said offices, and
and to re-enact the same with amendments ;"
