of the Public Local Laws of the city of Baltimore, relative to
the qualifications of electors in said city, and regulating the
time for holding elections for Mayor and Members of the City
Council, and the terms of, and the times for entering upon
the duties of said offices, and to re-enact the same with
amendments;"
Which was determined in the affirmative.

Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have the melancholy duty to announce the death of
Hon. Henry S. Magraw, of Cecil county, who died at the city
of Washington this morning, at 8.40 A. M. As a testimonial
of respect for the memory of the deceased, and of our sorrow
for his death; we propose, with concurrence of your Honorable
Body, that the two Houses of the General Assembly, when
they adjourn, stand adjourned until Monday next, at 12 o'clock
M.; and that the members of both Houses will wear the
usual badge of mourning.
We further propose the appointment of a Joint Committee
of both Houses, consisting of four members on the part of this
House, and two on the part of the Senate, to attend the fune-
