Interrogatories to be Propounded for District No. 10.
SCHEDULE C.

Interrogatory 1. What is you name, age, occupation, resi-
dence, and time of such residence?

Interrogatory. 2. Did you attend the polls of said District on
the 6th day of November, 1866, was you a legally registered
voter, did you vote on said day for State Senator and for

whom.

Interrogatory 3. How long did you remain at the said polls,
did you see any person prevented from offering to vote by
threats, violence or intimidation of any other person or per-
sons; if so, state whom and by whom, and was or was not the
election conducted as quietly and orderly as usual, at the said

polls ?

Interrogatory 4. Is it, or is it not customary for the people
of your District to carry their guns with them to public gath-
erings more particularly at that season of the year, and was
there an unusual display of guns about the polls, was there
any special reason therefor; if so, state the reasons fully ?

Interrogatory 5. How far do you reside from the place
where the polls were held, was it the usual place of holding
said polls, and the place advertised by the Sheriff for that
purpose, and how far is it from the Virginia line.

Interrogatory 2d. Was you appointed Judge of Election for

said Election District of Allegany county, in 1866; did you
qualify and act as such judge at the election held on the 6th

day of November and after closing the polls did you then

and there carefully and correctly read, tally and count the
ballots cast at said election, and write down the true number

of votes Alfred Spates and Charles H. Ohr, respec-
tively, for State Senator, and did you return the said and

identical ballots to the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Allegany county; state fully your mode of counting and
preserving said ballots, who were present and exerting a

supervision over said reading and tally?

Interrogatory 3rd. Who act clerks at the polls for said election,

and to what political party do they belong?
