Mr. Vickers presented the petition of Ministers of the
Methodist Protestant Church, in Baltimore city, against the
repeal of the law to preserve the Sabbath from desecration,
and to prevent railroad cars from running on the Sabbath
day;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Bowie presented the memorial of the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore city, praying the General Assembly not
to alter or amend the charter of the Baltimore and Potomac
Rail Road Company;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Internal
Improvements.

Mr. Bowie presented the memorial of Sam'l R. George, J.
Hanson Thomas, Wm. G. Harrison, John S. Gittings, Wm.
