Amend section 3, lines 1 and 2, by striking the name of
"Greyson Eichelberger" and inserting the names of "Charles
E. Trail, Hugh McAlear, S. T. Wallis and James T. Earle;"

Mr. Earle, moved a call of the Senate,

The Sergeant-at-Arms was sent to notify the absent Sena-
tors that their attendance was required in the Senate Cham-
ber.

Mr. Compton moved to suspend all further proceedings un-
der the call.

The question recurred upon the adoption of the amendments
to the amendment,

On motion of Mr. Earle,

The whole subject was postponed, and made the order of the
day for Thursday next, the 31st instant.

The Senate then adjourned until Wednesday next, the 30th
instant.

WEDNESDAY, January 30th, 1867.

Not being a quorum,

The Senate adjourned until to-morrow, at 12 o'clock, M.

THURSDAY, January 31, 1867.

The President laid before the Senate the sixth report of the
Directors of the Maryland Institution for the Instruction of
the Blind;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Also, the sixth annual report of the Children's Aid Society,
of Baltimore;
