On motion of Mr. Soper, The bill was re-committed to the committee on Ways and Means. Mr. Pilkington from the committee on Registration, re- ported back the petition of eleven thousand citizens of Balti- more City, in favor of the repeal of the Registry Law, and moved that it be printed. Mr. Miller, of A. A., moved to amend by ordering all the petition for and against the Registry Law, to be printed; The question being on the adoption of the amendment; Mr. Miller, of A. A., demanded the yeas and nays; The demand being sustained; The yeas and nays were called and appeared as follow:
So the amendment was rejected. |
