Mr. Hazen submitted the following order:
Ordered, That. the morning and afternoon sessions be ds-
voted to the consideration of House bills on their third read-
ing, in order that they may be passed to enable the Senate to
consider and pass the same within the three days provided
for by the Constitution;
Mr. Miller, of Anne Arundel, submitted the following
amendment:
After the word "their" and before the word "third," in
sert "second and,"
On motion of Mr. Tull,
The order was laid on the table.
Mr. Foster submitted the following
RESOLUTIONS:
WHEREREAS, The Baltimore City Union Convention, represent"
ing the Union men of Baltimore city, did at a recent ses"
sion of that body pass certain resolutions deprecating any
action on the part of the General Assembly of the State,
looking to a repeal or modifcation of the Registry Law,
and
WHEREFAS, The said Baltimore City Union Convention did ap-
point a committee to proceed, to Annapolis, to lay their
memorial and views upon the subject before the General
Assembly, therefore be it
Resolved by the Rouse of Delegates, That said committee be
invited upon the floor of this House, in order that they may
communicate in person the matter for which, they were de-
puted.
.Resolved, That a message he seat to the Senate requesting
them to meet us in joint session, in the Hall of the House of
Delegates, at 2 o'clock, P. M., this day, to receive the said
committee;
Which were adopted.
Mr. Foster submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
February 5, 1866.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We respectfully ask that you will meet this House in joint
Session, in the hall of the House of' Delegates, at 2 o'clock
P. M., this day, to receive the committee appointed by the
