The Senate resumed the consideration of the assessment
bill.
Mr. Turner submitted the following amendment:
Section 7, line 9, strikeout the words "Appeal Tax Court,"
and insert the words "Board of Control and Review, to he
appointed by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and
to consist of three persons;"
Determined in the negative.
On motion of Mr. Vickers,
The vote was reconsidered.
The amendment was then adopted.
Mr. McMaster submitted the following amendment:
Section 7, line 12, strike out the words "appeal Tax Court,"
and insert, "Board of Control and review;"
"Which was read and adopted.
Mr. Billingslea, of Carroll, submitted the following amend-
ment:
Section 9, line 13, after the word "securities," strike out
the words, "liable to valuation;"
Determined .in the negative.
Mr. Vickers submitted the following amendment:
In section 9, line 8, after the word "reside," insert the
words "except real estate," which shall be assessed in the
county or city, where it may be situated,"
Determined in the negative.
Mr. Billingslea of Carroll, submitted the follow ing amend-
ment:
Section 9, line 17, after "watches," insert "and jewelry;"
Determined in the negative.
Mr. Turner submitted the following amendment:
Section nine, after the word "value," in fifth line, insert
"except bonds and stock of banks or other incorporations,
which shall be assessed at their cash or market value;"
Which was determined in the negative.
Mr. McMaster submitted the following amendment:
