A bill entitled, an Act to repeal an Act, passed at Janu-
ary session, 1865, entitled, an Act to amend Article If, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled, "Frederick, county,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments;
The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 16 and 29 of
article 74 of the Code 'of' Public General Laws, relating to
Pilots, and re-enact the same with amendments;
Endorsed; "passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered the following House bills:
A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Chesapeake Bay
and Potomac river Tide water Canal company;
Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Corporations.
A hill entitled, an Act to repeal the three hundred and
ninety-seventh section of article four of the Code of Public
Local Laws, entitled, "City of Baltimore," and relating to.)
the Inspector General and Assistant Inspectors of Grain for
the City of Baltimore;
Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Inspections.
A bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Governor, Comp-
troller, and Treasurer to exchange or sell the Bank Stock be-
longing to or standing to the credit of the several counties of
this State, for Free Schools or other Schools, and invest the
proceeds thereof;
Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Ways and Means.
A bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Governor, Comp-
troller, and Treasurer to exchange or sell a portion of the
Stock standing to the credit of the Sinking Fund, and to in-
vest the proceeds thereof;
Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Ways and Means.
A bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act entitled, "an
Act to provide Bounty for Soldiers, entering the service of the
United States, to fill quotas of Maryland, under the call of the
future calls," passed at the January Session, 1865, chapter 33
President of the United States, of December, 1864, and under
so as to exempt the Bonds therein propose to be issued by the
Treasurer of the State, from State, County and Municipal
taxation.
