Clements and thirty-six other citizens of Montgomery county, in favor of a modification of the Registration Law; ' Also, a petition from Joshua A. Dorsey and thirty-five other citizens of Montgomery county, in favor of a modifica- tion of the Registration Law; Which were read and referred to the committee on Regis- tration. Mr. Smith, of Allegany, presented a petition from the merchants and business men of Cumberland, against the bill to relieve any railroad from carrying whiskey and fermented liquors as common carriers; Which was read and referred to the Allegany county dele- gation. Mr. Mules presented a petition from 275 citizens of Balti- more city against the passage of the Sunday Law; Which was read and referred to the committee on the Ju- diciary. The Speaker laid before the House memorials from R. W. L. Raisen and others, against the proposed levying of a Fire tax by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore; Also, from Johns Hopkins and others, against the pro- posed levy of a Fire tax by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore; Which were read and referred to the Baltimore City dele- gation. Mr. Mittag presented a memorial from from 215 citizens of Washington county for a repeal of the Registry Law; Which was read and referred to the committee on Regis- tration. The Speaker laid before the House a memorial from 11, 274 citizens of Baltimore city, praying a modification or repeal of the Registry Law; Which was read and referred to the committee on Regis- tration.* Mr. Calvert presented a petition from John Simmons and 105 citizens of Beltsville asking the repeal of the Registry Law; Which was read and referred to the committee on Regis- tration. |
