Mr. Jones, from the committee on Corporations, reported
favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to amend tlio Act of
1826, chapter 123, entitled, an Act to incorporate the Balti-
more and Ohio Railroad Company;
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably Senate bill, entitled, an Act supplementary
to an Act entitled., an Act to incorporate the Baltimore and
Cuba Smelting and Mining Company, passed at December
session, 1814;
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably Senate bill, entitled, an Act supplementary
to an Act to incorporate the Annapolis Water Company;
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably Senate hill, entitled, an Act to incorporate
the Chesterto'lVn Whtcr Company;
Which was read the second time.
Also, fa.vora'bly Senate bill, entitled, an Act to incorporate
the Chesapeake Life Insurance Company;
Which was re;.id the second time.
Also, favorably Senate bill, entitled, an Act to incorporate
and protect the Potomac Marine Railroad Company;
Which was read the second time.
Mr. McCaulcy, from the committee on the Judiciary, to
which was referred House bill entitled, an Act to repeal sec-
tions 10 and 11 of the thirty-seventh Article, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled, evidence and re-cn'-ict as fol-
lows:
Reported said bill without amendment; .
Said bill being on its second reading.'
Mr. Rinehart submitted the following amendment:
Section 1, Strike out after the word "duty," in line Ci, to
the letter "a-," inline 8;
Which was rejected.
Mr. Valliant, submitted the following amendment:
Amend by striking out in line 5, after the word "dol-
lar," the words "and fifty cents;"
