Also, reported a bill entitled, an Act to make valid a deed
from the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal company, to Chauncey
Brooks, of Baltimore city, and to waive any lien which the
State of Maryland may have upon. the land& thereby convey-
ed bv mortgage, or otherwise in favor of the said Chauncay
Brooks;
Which was read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Clarke,
The bill to restore the full rights of citizenship to all per-
sons disqualified by the 4th section of article 1, of the Con-
stitution from voting, and. from holding any office of honor,
profit or trust under the Laws of the State, was referred to
Messrs. Clarke, Trail and Whitney.
Mr. Vickers, from the Select committee, reported a bill to
secure the completion of the Kent county Railroad, by the
Kent county Railroad company;
Which was read the first time, and referred, to the com-
mittee on Internal Improvements.
Mr. Lansdale, from the committee on Internal Improve-
ments, reported a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River Tide Water company;
Which was read the first time, and. referred to the com-
mittee on Internal Improvements.
Mr. McMaster presented the memorial of M. Blair and
others to appear before the General Assembly, and present
the proceedings of the Anti-Registration Convention held. in
Baltimore city;
Which was read.
Pending its consideration, the President announced the-
hour had arrived for considering the order of the day;
Mr. Earle moved to postpone it for one hour;
Determined in the-negative by yeas and nays, as follow:
