The said bill was then sent to the Senate. Mr. Lee, from the committee on Elections, submitted the following report: [See Document H.] Which was lead and ordered to bo printed. Mr. Roberts, from a select committee, reported favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to empower the county commis- sioners of Queen Anne's county to levy a tax not exceeding sixty thosand dollars, on the taxable property of said county, for the benefit of the Queen Anne's and Kent County Rail- road; provided, that on submission of the question to the citi- zens of the county, there shall appear to be a majority thereof voting for such favorable contingency to Commissioners to issue the bonds of the county; Which way read the second time. Mr. Mittag, from a Select committee, reported without amendment House bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act passed at January Session, 1853, chapter, 379, entitled, "an Act to amend an Act to incorporate the Mutual Insurance company of Washington county," passed at December Ses- sion, 1845, chapter 37, and extend the charter of said com- pany; |
