Orphans' Court of Baltimore city, and in the Court of Ap-
peals, due him by the State, in the case of H. H. Owings vs.
the State of Maryland;
Which was read the second time.
Also favorably, with amendment, House bill, entitled, an
Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay Capt. Jesse W. Lee,
for expenses incurred in registering the soldiers' votes.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend by inserting in fourth line, after the name of Lee,
the following:—"For the sum of one hundred and forty-five
dollars and forty-six cents to pay Perley R. Lovejoy, and for
the sum of one hundred and ninety-three dollars and fifty-five
cents to pay J. W, Jordan, assignee of Henry P. Powles."
Amend title by inserting after the name Lee, "Perley R.
Lovejoy, and J. W. Jordan, assignee of Henry P. Towles."
The amendments were concurred in, and the bill, as amend-
ed, passed by yeas and nays as follow:
