lough, Miller, of A. A., Miller, of Washington, Mittag,
Nairne, Pennington, Rider, Rinehart, Roberts, Shaw, Silver,
Slothower, Smith, of Allegany, Smith of Dorchester, Smith,
of Frederick, Stone, Tolson, Usilton, Wardwell, Watkins,
Willis, Wilson, Wooden, Zeigler—45.
The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled,
an Act to encourage and facilitate emigration to the State of
Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Rider,
The said bill was made the order of the day for to-morrow
at one o'clock.
The bill entitled, a Supplement to the Act entitled, ait
Act to incorporate the Baltimore and. Philadelphia Steam-
boat company, passed December session, 1843, chapter 158;,
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The bill entitled, a Supplement to the Act entitled, an
Act to incorporate the New York and Baltimore Transporta-
tion I'1™! passed December session, 1847, chapter 112,
Was read the second time and ordered to "be engrossed for
.a third reading-
'The bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Governor of the
State and the Comptroller and Treasurer, to convey to the
United States of America the Government House and thy
grounds belonging to this State, in the city of Annapolis,
and to procure other sites and buildings in lieu thereof,
'Was read the second time and ordered to be' engrossed. for
a third reading.
The 'bill .entitled, an Act ceding to the United States of
America the jurisdiction over an addition to the site of the
Naval School at Annapolis;
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The 'bill entitled, an Act for repairing and furnishing the
Governor's Mansion;
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The lull entitled, an Act to repeal sections 4;-' and. 49 of
Article 5, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Appeals from County Commissioners;
