Mr. Usilton, from a Select committee, reported favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to authorize and empower the trustees of the Alms-House of Kent county to sell and convey .a certain piece of land to Thomas Baker and others, trustees of Camp Meetings and for other purposes of the Methodist Episcopal church in Kent circuit: Which was read the second time. On motion of Mr, Miller, of Anne Arundel, Ordered, That it be entered on the the Journal, that James L. Robinson, Esq., a Delegate from Anne Arundel county is .absent from his seat on account of sickness; Mr. Miller, of Washington, from a Select committee, re- ported without amendment, a, bill entitled, an Act to amend article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to Wahi-ington county by adding thereto an additional section author- izing the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown to open streets and alleys in said town; Which was read the second time. Mr. McCauley, from a Select committee, reported without, amendment a bill entitled, an Act to amend the Act of 1853, chapter 318, entitled, an Act incorporating the Bohemia- Bridge Company of Cecil county, Maryland, Which was read the second time. Mr. Comegys, from a Select committee, reported favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to amend the Public Local Laws, relating to Chestertown by repealing sections 42 and 56, and re-enacting the same with amendments; Which was read the second time. Mr: Tolson, from a Select committee, reported favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of (Queen Ann's county, to levy a tax of one thousand dollars on the taxable property of said county, to construct a causeway from the firm land to the bridge. which spans Chester River at Crump ton; Which was read the second time. |
