Mr. Lusby presented, a petition from Mrs. Josiah Groves,
and others, praying the passage of a bill incorporating Elli-
cotts City;
Also, a petition from George Ellicott, and two hundred
other citizens of Ellicotts Mills, praying the passage of a' bill
incorporating Ellicotts City;
Which were read and referred to the Baltimore and How-
ard delegations.
Mr. Pennington presented a petition from Thos. P. Jones,
and twenty-six other citizens of Cecil county, for the repeal
of the Incorporate Act of said Town;
Which was read and referred to the Cecil county delega-
tion.
Mr. Warner presented a petition from Win. G. Davis, and
twenty-eight citizens of Eillicotts Mills and vicinity, against
the passage of a law Incorporating the Town;
Also, a petition from Joseph Market, and thirty-seven cit-
izens of Elliotts Mills, against the. passage of a law Incor-
porating said place;
Which were read and referred to the Baltimore and How-
ard delegations.
Mr. Stewart presented a. petition from George Burgess,
and seventy other citizens of Ellicotts Mills and vicinity,
against Incorporating the Town;
Also, a petition from Henry Henke, and twenty-five other
citizens of Ellicotts Mills and vicinity, against Incorporating
the Town;
Which wore referred to the Baltimore and Howard dele-
gations.
Mr. Robert presented a petition from Stephen H. Brad-
ley to restore his rights of citizenship;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Registra-
tion.
Mr. Miller, of Anne Arundel county, presented a remon-
strance of merchants and other tax-payers of the city of An-
napolis, against the passage of a bill entitled, an Act pro-
hibiting the sale of spirituous liquors within said limits, &c.;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Stewart presented, a memorial from Samuel K. Dash-
ield, president of the board of school commissioners of Howard
county, praying for an academic fund for said county;
