Also favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Crumpton and,, Long Marsh Turnpike Road company;
Which was read the first time.
Also favorably, with amendment, a bill entitled, an Act
to amend the Charter of the Charles Street Avenue company.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add at. the conclusion of section 1 the words following:—
"Provided, however, that the rates of tolls upon the road
shall be graduated with reference to the amount of the capi-
tal stock as fixed by the original Act, and not with reference
to the amount to which the capital stock may be increased
under the provision of this section."
The amendment was concurred in, and the bill ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

(Baltimore Fire Proof Safe company;
Which was read the first time.,
Also favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Baltimore Warehouse company;
Which was read the first time.
Also favorably, Senate bill entitled, an Act Supplementary
to an Act to incorporate the Magnetic Telegraph company,
passed at December session, 1846, chapter 39; iii&:
Which was read the second time.
Mr, Slothower, from a Select committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to refund to Ross Campbell & Co.,
monies overpaid for Taxes;
Which was read the first time.
Also favorably, a bill entitled, an Act for refunding State
Taxes paid;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Pilkington, from the committee on Registration, sub-
mitted the following report:
The committee on Registration beg leave respectfully to
report unfavorably upon the petition of Charles Robinson and
1019 other citizens of Talbot county, asking for the repeal or
modification of the Registry Law;
