Which was read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Fawcett,.
The said bill was referred to the committee on Regis-
tration.
On motion of Mr. Buhrman,
Leave was granted Messrs. Buhrman, Everhart and Zeig-
ler to report a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section two, of
article 65, of the Code of Public General Laws of this State,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Rinehart,
Leave was granted the committee on Claims to report a
bill entitled, an Act to pay Martin Deale and George W.
Nutwell witness fees.
Mr. King, from a Select committee, reported favorably a.
bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 7 of Article 27 of the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled, "Costs," and re-enact
the same with amendments; "
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Jones, from the committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Duvall's.
Patent Centrifugal Pump company;
Which was read the first time.
Also favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Light Street Steamboat company of Baltimore;
Which was read the first time.
Also favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Baltimore Theatre and Opera House company;
Which was read the first time.
Also favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Cumberland Manufacturing company;
Which was read the first time.
Also favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to amend the Char-
ter of the Town of Williamsport, Washington county, Mary-
land;
Which was read the first time.
Also favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act
entitled, an Act to incorporate a company for the purpose of
cutting and making a Canal between the River Delaware and
the Chesapeake Bay, passed at November session, 1799, chap-
ter 16), and also to amend a Supplement thereto, passed at
December session, 1835, chapter 379;
