Mr. Soper, from the committee on Ways and Means, re- ported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal the; 39th sec- tion of the 56th article of the Code of Public General Laws, re-acting to non-resident traders, and to re- enact the same;; Which was read the first time. Mr. Rinehart, from a select committee, reported favorably a 'bill entitled, an Act to empower nine or more freehold citizens of the State to construct railroads within certain restrictions; Which was read the first time. Mr. Soper, from a select committee, reported favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money to the Children's Aid Society of Baltimore; Which was read the second time. Mr. Harris, from a select committee, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 5, of article 42, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to (lie office of Gov- ernor, and to re-enact and amend the same; Which was read the first time.
