acts of Elisha B. Hall, a justice of the peace of the Fifth
Election District of Cecil county;
Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably a bill entitled, an Act to authorize the
Board of Directors of the Maryland Institution for the In-
struction of the Blind to sell certain property now owned and
held in trust by them in the city of Baltimore;

Also, favorably a bill entitled, an Act to make valid the
official acts of Thomas Straughn, as a justice of the peace of
Maryland, in and for Caroline county;
Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably a bill entitled an Act authorizing the
county commissioners of each and every county of this State
to pay to the constables of each and every county for report-
ing to the Grand jury of each and every county at each and
every term of the circuit court;

Mr. Jamison, from the committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to authorize Benjamin
Norris to convey by deed a tract of land to the party therein
mentioned;

favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Chesapeake
and Potomac Canal Company;

Also, favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Davis Lumber and Oil Manufacturing Company of Alle-
gany county;

Also, favorably reported a bill, entitled, an Act to incorpo-
rate the city of Crumpton, in Queen Anne's county;

Mr. Willis, from a select committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money to the
Soldiers' Home of Maryland;
