192 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 26, Which was read the first time. Mr. Pilkington moved to suspend the rules to place the bill on the second reading. Decided in the negative. On motion of Mr. Jones, Ordered, That the committee on Corporations be permitted to sit during the session of this House to-day. Mr. McCauley, from the committee on the Judiciary, re- ported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 1, of article 28 of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to county commissioners, and to re-enact the same with amend- ments; Which was read the first time. The resolution endorsing the message of Governor Swann, Was read the second time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follow:
The said resolution was then sent to the Senate. The bill entitled, a supplement to an Act entitled, an Act to incorporate the President and Directors of the Maryland Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore, passed at January session, 1858, |
