Also, favorably a bill, entitled an Act; to authorize the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to furnish aid towards
the construction of the Western Maryland Railroad from
Hagerstown to Cumberland;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Zeigler, from a select committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Leitersburg Lamp
and Tin.Ware Manufacturing Company;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Calvert, from a select committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to provide for the greater security of
prisoners in Prince George county;
Which, was read the first time.
Mr. Fawcett, from a select committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act, to amend the fifteenth article of the
Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the powers of the
commissioners for Rockville, by adding the following sec-
tions relating to the condemnation of private property for the
purpose stated in said article, under the head of "Rockville."

Mr. Pennington, from a select committee, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled, an Act, to regulate the issuing of license
for the sale of spiritous or fermented liquors within the
limits of the town of Cecilton, in Cecil county;
Which was read the-first time.
Mr. Markey, from a select committee, reported favorably
a hill, entitled, an Act, to repeal an act passed January ses-
sion, 1865, entitled, an Act to amend article eleven, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Frederick County,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Pennington, from a select committee, reported favor-
ably, a bill entitled, an Act, to provide for repairing the old
jail of Cecil county, or the building of a new jail, at the dis-
cretion of the County Commissioners of said county;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Hazen, from a select committee, reported favorably, a
bill entitled, an Act to repeal sec ions 194, 196, 197,
of article four of the Code of Public Local Laws, and to re-
enact the same with amendments; «,

Mr. Pilkington, from the committee on Registration, re-
ported favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to restore Henry
Jones, of the Sixth Election District of St. Mary's county,
to the elective franchise and full rights of citizenship;
