Also, leave was granted the committee on Claims to report
a bill entitled, an Act to compensate Colonel E. M. Mobley
for the loss of a horse while in the service of the Military
State Agency.
On motion of Mr. Roberts,
Leave was granted the Kent and Queen Anne's counties
delegations to report a bill entitled, an Act to protect the
fisheries on Chester River.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Allegany,
Leave was granted the committee on Ways and Means to
report a bill entitled, an Act for the relief of the sureties of
Moses Rawlings, lor the years 1846, 1847 and 1848.
Also, leave was granted the same committee to report a
bill entitled, an Act to compensate Elijah M. Friend for ser-
vices as Commandant of the 55th Military District of Mary-
land, in Allegany county.
On motion of Mr. Fawcett,
Leave was grunted the Montgomery county delegation to
report a bill entitled, an Act" to empower the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery county tore-open and adjust the
claim of Nathan Childs, for damages on a road opened
through his lands.
On motion of Mr. Rinehart,
Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to amend 30th section of the 3d
article of the Constitution.
On motion of Mr. Willis,
Leave was granted the committee on Ways and Means to
report a bill, entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to the Soldier's Home, of Maryland.
On motion of Mr. McCauley,
The petition of Samuel B. Foard and others, relative to a
bridge over the Bohemia River, heretofore referred to the
committee on Ways and Means,
Was referred to the Cecil delegation.
On motion of Mr, Miller, of Waslnngton,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation
to report a bill to prevent trespass by cutting timber, &c.,
in Washington county.
